This was purchased to assist an elder to get out of bed. Less straining getting up in bed and out. My favorite thing is that it doesn't take up tons of valuable bedside space.

This assist bar is not oversized, but gives me just enough stabilizing to get myself in and out of bed. Not bulky - non obstructive.

It is very sturdy and the padded handle is nice. Handle is very nicely padded with sturdy covering. Easy to grab with both hands and not get in the way of my bedside table.

Cons

The frame is far stronger than the rectangle type, but the brads used to adjust the height break easily. Metal is scratched and rusty, and foam handle scratched.
