Its really waterproof the instructions says to test it by putting a dry paper in it and immersing it in water for a while otherwise you can return it

The two layers one being this waterproof case and the built in screen protector on the defender dont even reduce touch screen sensitivity that much

This is a great product and i really recommend it the only issue is that it makes it really difficult to see the phone screen underwater and it interferes with the touch screen
