They do work for waterproofing your phone and great for protection but be careful i used it as an underwater camera that actually took great pictures while snorkeling but found out the hard way under water your touch screen doesnt work

After losing a few good shots i was able the change camera settings to capture picture with a side button

Bought a couple of these waterproof cases because my wife and i were going to hawaii and wanted to be able to take pictures and video while under waterfalls and swimming with the turtles with our samsung galaxy s5s

Dont let the idea that its just a waterproof bag that you put your phone in make you think that its not durable
