Pros
William mulholland was an engineer who helped build the los angeles aqueduct. This is a great biography of a great man.
Very well researched, to the point of being tedious on some points. Contains a lot of information that surprised me and further fueled my interest in the subject.
The author also delves into the motives and mendacity of opponents of the project. There is little tedious or repetitive in standiford's narrative.
