This isn't a bad bit of kit but could have been made a lot better in my opinion. I had to check what the Amazon site description was for the product because the instructions seemed to be a bit more limited in suggested use. For me, I use these devices for cutting my own hair rather than for beards or any other options. I can't therefore say how useful it would be for say a cyclist or swimmer wanting to do some body shaving for example. It would certainly cut the hair but I'm not sure how boring that would be with a device like this.First and foremost, fully charged, this has a decent motor although on the one I got, there was no charging light so probably you should just leave it on charge for at least an hour I would guess. It is very lightweight and this has benefits when cutting the back of your hair in my opinion. It is a plastic body so I don't know if it would survive a drop of a couple of feet or so. The problem with this set which loses it marks is the attachement set.The interchangeable blades are fine. I have another Wahl that I bought some time ago. This has a metal body but similar blades. They can be a bit fiddly to change and feel like they could get stuck easily. Like my other Wahl this has some really horrible plastic guides that I personally never would use. Why on earth Wahl cannot get something decent that would give you some confidence I don't know. The adjustable blades while made of plastic are slightly better but given that these are likely to be well used, surely again Wahl could have spent a few pence more or even a pound or two and got something that gives you more confidence that they will last.The functioning of these guides (not the guides themselves) is the other best feature of this package. Clearly marked graduations on the back give you plenty of scope and the nice feature is that they can be locked in place. Thus avoiding a potential accidental collapse of the guide and an involuntary tonsure.There is a pointless comb in the package which is more at home in a dolls house and a carrying case which is cheap but does just about hold everything. Having had the stainless steel one for some years I would say this is more powerful but Wahl have missed a trick not improving on those nasty attachments.  Read Less
