    This needs to be the only adapter when connecting your devices so make sure the monitor you plan to connect to has a hdmi connection

    One item of note if your mac is too old the sound via hdmi will not be supported and it will come out of the macs speakers instead of the tv set

    This isnt a problem for macs that are less than four years old but one of mine is too old and i ran into this problem
