Pros

After purchasing and returning numerous scopes, decided to spend more money and did not regret it. Set up the razor hd 85, viper hd 80, and the new diamondback 80. For the price this scope cannot be beat.

Best spotting scope ever. The weight is great. The scope is spectacular. Very pleased with this scope.

My application is for birding. The 80 mm makes easy to locate the targets. Might be a little large to cary hunting but great at the range.

Vortex diamondback 20-60x 80mm angled eyepiece. Good magnification, clear picture. Low to mid zoom provides great quality.

Cons

Not very well made. The zoom lens adjustment was stuck and would not rotate. Trying to focus on birds using magnification over 40x resulted in blurring and purple fringing.

With the celestron ultima 65 the image wasnt enough better than decent binoculars to justify carrying around the scope and the tripod

Works better than the celestron ultima which of course it should since it costs 4 times as much

Compared to other spotting scopes i have used at higher prices from legacy names this scope holds up and then some

As magnification increases to 30x i get vignetting but a usable view in the center of the image

It does get darker at 60x but that’s to be expected at 60x with a 60mm objective
