Though it can be cleaned by running warm water through it i disassembled it for cleaning and as the manual stated it is possible for the oring to become misaligned which will cause leaks if it isnt properly installed

But since the manual explicitly showed the proper placement of the oring by positioning it as the diagram showed after reassembling the aerator it performed like new with lots of bubbles being injected into the wine with the flavor being bright and crisp

After cleaning up christmas dinner we washed the aerator tube and it fell into the disposal and was damaged
