Pros

Filter is great for two shots of espresso-like demitasse. Unit is stainless steel and strong. The phin itself is very nice quality, stainless steel and very sturdy.

Lid keeps the coffee hot while it drips.

The brew through this very simple system makes a smooth and drinkable cup. I am an avid coffee drinker, since my teenage years, and this filter is earning my respect!

Cons

Top insert plate is hard to unscrew when wet. Coffee grinds come up over the cover and also get into coffee. Also, i find the taste of the brewed coffee to be worse than with my other filters, perhaps because the drip holes are a bit bigger.
