I have the both the mppt charger and dongle module mounted in the engine room close to the house battery bank and i am able to monitor the system on my iphone from the boat helm which is about 20 feet from the dongle

Smartsolar has built in bluetooth bluesolar does not and requires purchase of the bluetooth dongle 50
