Mice escape out of the lid when they panick. If the ramps weren't perforated they wouldn’t be able to hook their nails and open them.

I bated this with some peanut butter and the first few days caught nothing so thought it was a bust after a week or so i have caught one about every second day just hope its not the same one as i have released them far from the house
