The purina brand works well for dogs with loose stools. I have a 12 year old, 85 pound collie that had begun to suffer from constant loose bowels in his old age. When the poo problem flakes up she gets a second one for a week.

After suffering 3 stomach viruses with diarrhea, my poor pooch now seems to have some form of irritable bowel. Cats have an extraordinary sense of smell, and he resists the supplement which makes mealtime very stressful for me.

This tablet is ginormous. If it was intended for smaller dosage why so darn large, why 500 mg.
