Pros & Cons
Pros
The price is great, and the design is *close* to the quilted crystal jars i'm used to using. The 4oz mason jars are of good quality and are very durable. After many purchases, i have never gotten a defective one.
Jelly jars are the perfect size for single-use containers. The package comes with little black stickers you can use for labeling, which i didn't notice until after. If you're going to put white markers in the larger hars for the labels, why not these ... Read More
Cons
These jars are not of suitable quality for canning. Two jars shattered after canning and almost all the jars have bubbles in the glass. The jars are beautiful but the lids were poor quality. I like the size for jams and pesto but they would not seal.
Highlights
Quality
I have never had any issues with them breaking under the heat of my products 165 degrees
No issues sealing at all during pressure canning
Rather use glass than plastic and these come out like new from the dishwasher
Over 5 batches the lids didn’t seal on 3 of the 4 jars while all 81 of the ball lids sealed
Price
40 canning jars for 30 is a great deal
These ended up being really wonderful jars for the price
They even had a quart glass spaghetti jar for 1
I checked multiple thrift shops for canning jars and was disgusted to find their prices for canning jars were 1 without the lid and ring
Shipping
It was unlikely due to shipping by the fact that the broken piece was found in the second layer of jars
Packaging/appearance
Love the packaging that keeps these jars so well protected
Packaging is very efficient and presentable for breakables
Only one out of the entire box was broken and that could have happened after arrival
They are beautiful packaged well and none of them were broken
Competitiveness
I had gone to another brand when these were out of stock and i came back to these
These jars are similar to ball mason jars a little thinner but close
