It didn't seem to be working with my husband's phone but we turned his volume up on his phone and it finally connected at that point, but that is an issue with our 2005 audio system and not the cable.

The product description does not mention if it has a dac or not however these cables work very well with my google pixel 3 and connecting them into my vintage car stereo.
