If i hadnt read on another blog that this sealer has a child lock that requires sequentially pushing the top down on the left and right sides for four clicks before the sealer turns on

I carefully removed it and using a mini torch found out that it was plastic that looks like copper screen

Had i not removed it it would have melted all over the heating element

I just received my second sealer because i thought the first one was defective because none of the buttons worked when pressed
