It does seem that with the exception of samsung gear vr and google daydream all of the headsets are a variation on google cardboard

Methods of adjustment such as focus and eye width as seen on some of the plastic models are totally unnecessary

It is certified by google and has a qr code enabling it to be used with the google cardboard app very easily

The lack of a head strap doesn’t seem to matter either as it seems intuitive to want to hold it against your face
