Aside from the more noticeable lack of the buzzer of the j7t model this j7q tester has a different screen layout

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It works just as well as the former model but the screens dont have the same density meaning that its slightly lacking in features or that you need to check multiple screens to read all the data you may want

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It also does not have the loadcutoff features of the j7t so there is no way to configure it to shut off the attached devices after a time limit or if they start drawing less power

It makes up for this feature with the ability to control the screen backlight the extra screen that says on by default

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

A minor complaint with this feature is that there is no way to turn the screen backlight back on without changing the screen displayed since the only way to wake it is to press the button or unplug it and then plug it back in and pressing the button changes the screen as well

The modified design means that the common button sequences dont match up with the ones used here

Note that the backlight screen seems to ignore these codes and the backlight code does not work on the normal screens
