Otherwise when using phone for heavy desktop(dex) mode, phone discharges faster than charging.

The 1st one was negative because the item did not work with either my note9 or tab s4.

They agreed to send me another unit and it did work on the note9 for dex as described.

Be aware that this hub only will mirror the tab s4 on your monitor, it wont send the signal to the monitor to recognize dex on the tab s4.

I just tried to power the 1st hub i ordered with a different wall port and it worked just fine.
