One thing to think about if you are wanting to get this — or any usbc hub that has video connections — so you can hook up a monitor the device youre connecting this hub into needs to support sending video through its usbc port

Some usbc ports dont support it especially some of the first ones

For instance i have a laptop with a usbc port but when i plug this type of hub in the laptop tells me it doesnt support displays using slimport

Unfortunately there isnt a different type of little icon on the usbc port of your device to let you know if it does usb alt modes so you just have to check your devices documentation
