The solar panel charged the light during the day when the sun did come out and i found the light still going in the morning on leaving for work

The only negative is that the solar panel only moves in line with the light so if you want to light to point at right angles to the sun the solar panel is not perfectly angled for the best postion to the sun

The instructions were not clear it fact it made no reference to a button at the back

There are two brightness settings to choose from low and high and i always leave mine on high because low is pretty dim and not bright enough to light up what i want to see
