After that its a matter of finding a 374 battery and negotiating with a jeweler how much to charge for selling you a battery outright the one i went to charged me half to the cost of labor of replacing the battery

I suspected that there might be some sort of battery insulator so i opened the battery case

Instead there is a dial at the bottom which indicates seconds

The second hand only moves in stopwatch mode2 from the instructions it looks like the upper button both stops the stopwatch and pauses to allow reading
