I then taped the disassembled phone to a table and taped a piece of cardboard over everything but the area with the charging port as a heat shield

Move very slowly with a purpose while installing this even the slightest mistake will leave you without a speaker or a cracked screen

This is a bit of a challenge to replace but if you watch the several videos online and are very careful and pay close attention to the small parts it can be done without being a technical engineer

It said battery temp too low to charge once it was installed
