Pros
Handheld radios work well locally, for recreational use and even within a multilevel house. Great radios for the outdoorsy family.
My only real complaint is the packaging. They work great.

They would reliably work up to a couple of miles apart before starting to lose reception so long as it wasnt too hilly or windy
