Pros

The ut210e is a quality product with a lot of handy features for use around the house, ham shack or car. The rotary knob is easy to use. Overall it works pretty well with a couple quirks, but those are acceptable considering the price.

Measuring dc voltage and current in outdoor power equipment and auto applications is where this thing shines. Once you catch a phantom drain condition (elevated milliamps) there is a second tool that will help you identify the system that occasionally...  Read More

Measures milliamps consistent with repair shop. Ac clamp meters are readily available, and inexpensive. But i was surprised, it is actually a nice meter.

Cons

Batteries are dead. Not impresses. I hate these chinese products that are flooding the world that don't work.

It now reads 41a or so on the 200a setting by default. The200a setting still works after i zero it, but the accuracy is obviously not very good for low amperage measurements. Stay away from this meter.

Between readings the voltage bounces around as i am waiting for it to zero out. Running the selector through the functions and back to volts does stop the beeping, but only random numbers are displayed with no measurement function. The clamp on ammete...  Read More

Bought for doing parasitic draw tests on automotive electrical systems reads down to 0

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It doesn’t auto range or have any sort of memory when switching between amperage scales so the tool has to be set to ac or dc manually then zeroed out every time it’s switched

Need to troubleshoot a washer that was popping a 20amp breaker

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

After connect at the breaker i could see that it would trip at mostly random amperage the max draw was around 9

I looked it up and found an electrical forum website of some sort with a review and technical break down of this unit and thats what sold me on this one

So i just swamped those out with my other probes

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I suppose the small needle size probes that this unit came with is great for electronics troubleshooting

I was looking for a compact meter that also had amp clamp capability that i could keep in the glovebox for working on cars out on the field
