Five stars is because the units themselves are a bit flimsy and the plastic case on one of the lamps has cracked slightly the lamp is still usable from normal pressure putting it down into the toe of a shoe

The first uv shoe sanitizer from this company must have had a short in the wires because sometimes it would work and sometimes it would not work

At first i thought it seemed kind of cheaply constructed but now i appreciate the simple design and neither of the two bulbs has yet to burn out

To repeat a tenminute cycle requires unplugging the transformer from the electric wall socket for several seconds and then plugging it back in

I guess the auto shutoff is for safety to prevent overheating but one cycle is not enough for shoes that have been worn all day

I really like that they are small enough to use inside boots where my previous similar ultraviolet sanitizers couldnt reach
