These are wide enough for thicker drinks like a smoothie. I really like the rolled rims i’m often * while driving. The lip at the top is a bit weird to drink from, although it’s smooth so that part is nice.

For someone with mobility issues you might prefer bent straws or something nonmetal so you can adjust for ergonomics
