The little rubber mat that comes with it really helps reduce the noise from the hard drive sat on the backpack so much so i wondered whether it was on when i started to use it i keep my virtual machines on a usb3 wd passport 1tb so it gets thrashed
Very high quality product and my hard drives are now out of sight
The price of this shelf does seem a little excessive but for me i was prepared to pay it so that i got a very elegant solution to the problem of where to put the ssd that i want to have connected permanently to my 2011 imac
