    Nice record mat was a big improvement over felt that came with my turntable ,tried older rubber mat from another turntable first but did not like the looks .

    It's a lot better than a felt slipmat, because there's no static electricity build up and it doesn't trap dust and dirt like a felt slipmat does.

    The difference in sound is, even for demanding audiophiles, quite minimal; nothing that can't be experimented on with a conventional equalizer.

    The cork and rubber mat does produce a crispier sound, but it is only noticeable (and sincerely, barely) using audiophile headphones.
