Pros

I opted for this tunze skimmer, while it does not produce as dark/much as my aquaflotor 1000 skimmer. It is a great piece of mind knowing i don't have to come home to a skimmer that has lost its mind and starts to overflow. Def a great choice for my 4...  Read More

It skims a little wet, well at least the way i have it set up and i get a nice looking green tea. I have a few things to figure out (such as extra media filters) and haven’t quite dialed in the skimming just yet. The surface skimming is awesome.

Cons

While the skimmer is running, it continuously overfills the cup. Poor construction allows them to leak out of seams everywhere.

The manuals have pictures which are dark and illegible. There is no way to see what parts go where, no schematics. The diagrams are small with poor contrast. The faq repeatedly states that this is supposed to have an american style plug.

Very silence, top quality and quick setup.

Just be careful with the plastic clips that secure the magnets on the back of the unit.

Sometimes you have to spend a little more to get quality.

Packaging/appearance

That worked but the sides still leak bubbles.

Competitiveness

It is perfect for my biocube 30 gallon tank (chamber two with minor trimming required).

I try a few different skimmer like coralife, hydro nano, tunze 9001, aquatic life 115.

I have it in the 2nd chamber in my coralife 29 biocube.
