Do not hesitate to purchase this quality item. Bought from seller bestpack. Not designed for this but works fantastic.
Perfect for assisting my 132lb 91 yr old mother. The quality is very good and assisting with our elder standing and walking support is easy. This gait belt is sturdy but comfortable.
Cons
The buckle on this belt is nearly impossible to open - beware if you don't have alot of strength in your fingers.

This issue we had at first was that with all the handles sometimes you couldnt actually grab it in a hurry
