When i received this light it is together with cardboard wedged in between glass to avoid breakage

Anyway the other gasket rubber piece i believe goes around the glass assembly as it will be mounted to the ceiling to protect the glass from being chipped andor cracked when attaching the two screws for the outside cover set

Had to buy some parts at home depot to hang and connect to power

I screwed the bulb in prior to installing the light to ensure it would fit which it did but there was no getting it back out

Nice looking fixture but had to go out and buy the tube that goes in the center because the one it came with was too short
