Pros
The tp-link wr902ac works great with hotspot. Being on public wifi is dangerous; the router is one remedy. The range is also excellent for its size.
A winner out of the box. Couldn't be happier. Only downside is that it's not straightforward to block users as it’s rule based configuration rather than a simple block toggle tab.
Travel router allows you to connect to hotel wifi without plugging in. Allows you to use amazon echo androku in hotels. Can also connect to hotels via ethernet.

Cons
Returned the second one, this time for a refund. Same result. Oddly, there is no clear indication of the current hw version that is shipping. They only respond late at night and like the box says located in shenzhen.
The setup for usb file sharing is quite complex. Getting connected to it is a hassle. Trying to connect an iphone was challenging at best. Never was able to connect it to a wifi in bridge mode.

Once everything was working at home it was fast and easy in the uk to connect the travel router to the hotels wifi

Problem was that the google home would not connect to the public wifi in the building so we set up this tplink router as a range extender and then connected the google home to it
