Pros

The tp-link tl-poe150s is a great little power injector. It uses a 12 volt plug-n converter to power the camera through the camera cable. Just hook everything up, set the ont to 12 volts, and connect the injector.

Cons

It works if powered by a passive injector (tried 48v and 52v) but does not work with the poe switches. About 75% of the cameras are in areas with no electricity which means that the installation relies highly on poe. Only 100mbps when plugged in.

I suspect that this is why many people are reporting doa. The customer service is marginal, but i will rate better the chinese compared to the us.

Worked fine for 4 weeks. Now outside the return policy, i have to reset the power about once a month to get them to continue to work. The annoying part is that it still work but no more than a day.
