These really do work in my urban apartment tower environment where i cannot run a wire and wifi has interference from the steel stud construction

Perhaps the best test is to set these up with one directly connected with a network cable your router and the other in a different room and use a non wifi device or with wifi off connected with a network cable and stream a netflix or youtube video and look carefully to see if the sound is synced with the visual

This is because the signal has to cross over between circuit brakers in your braker box and sometimes these work better if you move one or both to a different breaker protected circuit
