Pros & Cons

Pros

Lens is great for astrophotography (you just have to set the focus to infinity, which is really easy because it has its very own setting on the lens) good for crop sensor cameras. Used outdoors as well as indoor concert photography.

An incredibly well-spent $370. Absolutely no regrets.

Both are very different lens but both deliver exceptional pictures. The manual focus while a little confusing to use at first works well. The only nit picky complaint i have is that the auto focus motor is a bit winey but definitely not a deal breaker...  Read More

The lens feels solid and weighty in the hand without being overweight or bulky. It’s also heavier than it looks.

Cons

I do real estate photography, and my clients aren't going to accept images with green blobs all over them. It isn't as bad out at the zoom end at 16, but that kinda defeats the purpose of why you would have this in your bag to begin with.

Im having a hard time deciding if i want to leave this lens on all the time or my sigma 30mm art

For those of you looking for a low budget wide angle lens with a wide aperture this may not pan out to be the solution to all your problems

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I was under the impression that this is the lens that i could use for the majority of my shooting needs

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

However this is not the case

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Despite the wide aperture this lens delivers a sub standard picture when the aperture is at anything wider than roughly 5

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

To get a crisp image you have to close the aperture down to around 7

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

So if you are going to shoot inside without a lighting kit or outside in the evening be aware that this lens may limit you in that opening the aperture so that you can shoot inside in the evening or at night will sacrifice image quality in my opinion to the point of being unacceptable to work with
