Pros & Cons
Pros
Lens is great for astrophotography (you just have to set the focus to infinity, which is really easy because it has its very own setting on the lens) good for crop sensor cameras. Used outdoors as well as indoor concert photography.
An incredibly well-spent $370. Absolutely no regrets.
Both are very different lens but both deliver exceptional pictures. The manual focus while a little confusing to use at first works well. The only nit picky complaint i have is that the auto focus motor is a bit winey but definitely not a deal breaker... Read More
The lens feels solid and weighty in the hand without being overweight or bulky. It’s also heavier than it looks.
Cons
I do real estate photography, and my clients aren't going to accept images with green blobs all over them. It isn't as bad out at the zoom end at 16, but that kinda defeats the purpose of why you would have this in your bag to begin with.

Highlights
Quality
The build quality is very good and the lens feels solid and weighty in the hand without being overweight or bulky
Great quality lens for a good price
With the bmpcc crop factor of 2
Does loose some quality in the zoom in factor with noise
Price
Its nice for the price crazy chromatic abberation and lens flares though
It is to me the perfect wide lens and a very good price
His cost is perfect vs his quality
But again i’m not a pro with a businessyet and the price was too enticing to pass up
Competitiveness
Great lens that i bought to go with my metabones speedbooster ultra
8 manual mode 11mm 1250 and went to town on some test photos
As this is from a third party seller fulfilled by amazon not from an authorized tokina dealer
I use a canon rebel t7i which is a crop sensor camera and my first dslr

Despite the wide aperture this lens delivers a sub standard picture when the aperture is at anything wider than roughly 5

To get a crisp image you have to close the aperture down to around 7

So if you are going to shoot inside without a lighting kit or outside in the evening be aware that this lens may limit you in that opening the aperture so that you can shoot inside in the evening or at night will sacrifice image quality in my opinion to the point of being unacceptable to work with
