From the pictures to me it looks like a wood but its a rubber a kind of thick but if you have crazy rats they will eat the under and still find their way in so what i did when i noticed that the rats are already eating it i put a permanent rat glue by the entrance especially when going to bed

These are perfect as they also allow air to pass through so it doesnt block the air conditioning from coming in
