Pros

Rockwell hardness is hrc 45. Hrc 40 file skated right over the blade and left no damage. Brass and wood make up the hilt and handle.

The case is solidly built with genuine leather. Even the leather sheath is sold and hold up to much *. The scabbard isn't all that but, the tool is absolutely awesome!

If your looking for a "no frills" basic bowie knife for doing whatever you want, this is it. The bone handle is impressive. Makes it feel like a small gladius. The handle fits the hand well.

In summation, is it the best stainless steel machete you could own? The bowie is the main character and the easiest to take out.

Cons

It arrived very dull with an almost dented edge. However, it is just not good. Sort of like food photos on a menu.

The finish on this machete is very poor. The clip grind flattens out to one side. Do not store in sheath.

The knife has none of the rainbow colors that are shown in the advertising picture. Not one. The return is a major hassle, so i canceled my return as a lesson to self!
