The steel modern looking ones are from japan. The plastic floral white ones are parts from japan but assembled in china. Tastes great, quiet, very dependable. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
Boils quick and has a lot of functionality. There's a temperature probe that lets you see the temp of the water you pour in. Pour 4qt of water, boil water for half an hour, after the drop will be issued to remind you.
The 3 liter model is just right for me. It’s a nice compact size. The only thing i may not like is the its design with 3l model i got, it came with fat and short, i am unable to put my glass bottle under the water spout.
Cons
Plastic coating inside dispenser. When selecting a temperature, the water comes completely to a boil (208 degrees), which totally defeats the purpose of having a selectable temperature.

It is also cost a lot less with all useful features and functions
It’s a little pricey but well worth it
5 lite is the most cost effective one

This the first time i tried the tiger brand and so far im pleased with it
Reboil is very quiet compared to my 15yrold national boiler which was also made in japan
You will realize it whenever you compare the price of 5 lite with those of 3 and 4 lite
