That may be a function of the ios app that i mentioned but did not test because i no longer have constant access to an ipad or iphone

Insert one bulb into a light socket and turn on the power source to the bulb via the wall switch or lamp switch and immediately press one of the four zone on buttons multiple times repeatedly in rapid fire

Pairing the bulbs to the remote was very simple however the remote is super sensitive and you have to train yourself to hold it without mistakenly touching any keys as they are capacitive sensitive keys not keys that you press

So merely rubbing a finger across the remote will cause unintended operation

Both lamps respond accurately to all remote commands

The light output is no stronger than a 40 watt bulb so in my opinion these bulbs cant be relied on for good general lighting
