In the hands of a neophyte this thermometer will result in a lot of ruined expensive meat. It misread the temperature of frying oil by 80 degrees. Food will come out overcooked.

Sorry, that's unacceptable. This thermometer is junk. Do yourself a favor and do not purchase this thermometer. Sadly, throwing this out.

The design is horrible. Terrible product. Secondly, very confusing.

Takes forever just to set it up to cook a steak medium. The * have to be pressed multiple times or very hard to register. The on/off button does nothing.

Super accurate and the cord is nice and long

The backlight feature is nice and the magnet is handy too and the probe cord is long enough to keep it away from heat and splatter

I do take it out the roast ten minutes before the degree of doneness and let it continue so the juices go back into the meat evenly

The length of the thermometer string is long and sturdy
