    The expiration code date on the packages showed the vendor who shipped these decided to get rid of old stock which was about to expire and they would not be able to sell them

    For medical devices that kind of thing should never happen because it means the battery life on a nonrechargeable item will not be as long as you might expect it to be

    Thus check the expiration dates for any batteries you receive to insure you are getting batteries with a good charge or life still in them
