While the intention to provoke thought and challenge societal norms is evident, the execution falls short. I dislike immensely even in the first chapter. To lump these books in with shades of grey is absurd.

Anne rice needs to remove the word buttocks from her vocabulary. The entire book has to do with spanking. Two paragraph's later they are bent over and spanked with a paddle.

Book seems to imply a princess (sleeping beauty) and a prince in a somewhat * fairy-tale submissive/dominant relationship. The prince is bisexual and way too unattractive for my taste.
