This is not how christianity grew. if he's presenting a reasoned and researched view on early church development, say so up front.
His basis for rejecting luke's numbers is the out-dated estimate by j. This is disingenous at best, and intellectually dishonest at worst. If you don't mind that his logic is fallacious, the numbers in his poll studies are inaccurate.
