Pros

The princess diarist is a wonderful blend of the musings of a 19-year-old megastar in the making and the reflections of the woman who has had the time to absorb and finally make sense of that same stardom. It focuses on a very specific time frame, and...  Read More

It's about how leia became such a big part of herself. This book is an absolute must read for any woman who is a fanatic for both leia and carrie.

I think that carrie is an amazing storyteller. Carrie doesn't put on airs - she tells things how she remembers them and refuses to sugar coat it. Carrie gets to live on in this book and in the memory i have of her applying glitter to my face at a con....  Read More

Cons

It's not sugar-coated, but the book also spends a lot of time with older carrie monologuing (humorously) about herself. I have no doubt that the autograph tables at comic cons are degrading to them as people.

American women become so full of hate towards male as they grow older and fatter. It is not new that men have an affair and it appears only american women cannot ignore that. She romanticizes the affair with ford, but the reality is that ford comes of...  Read More

Quality

I reread her catalog every few years and i am never disappointed

I always enjoy reading fisher’s books — she’s funny and witty and very selfdeprecating

At 19 carrie is no match for the savy harrson and is terribly hurt by the affair

The only thing that fell flat with me was the dramatic shift in tone with the section of her diaries reproduced in the book

Competitiveness

I chose a 4star rating only because it was hard to read in light of fisher’s unhappy life and untimely death

As someone who grew up loving star wars and always admiring carrie fisher for the bad she is

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I was expecting this book to include more information about carrie’s entire experience on the sets of episode 4 not just the love affair that she had with harrison

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It is a rambling almost stream of consciousness account of her time making star wars a new hope

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Of course carrie wanders in her telling

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

After such a vivacious narrator with carrie billie’s narration fell totally flat almost monotone

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I almost felt like she didn’t even understand what she was reading—like a school kid who is completely lost in poetry or shakespeare class just reading words and being totally lost as to meaning

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I ended up having to skip through some of it

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I just received the book and it looks like it’s been folded in half for a while now
