I’m someone who has dealt with chronic constipation my entire life. When I was young, I relied heavily on laxatives, and while they worked alright, I hated having to be chained to any sort of supplement to go.A few years ago, I learned about enemas and all the benefits they produce for the human body. I was extremely skeptical at first, and scared to be quite honest.Word to the wise: put some towels down if lying in a full supine position when administering your first (or fiftieth) enema at home. Before you get the nozzle securely placed, you’re most likely going to have some of the water stream out of the end. (Also, it just makes things more comfortable, and who doesn’t want that when you’re kind of in a compromising position?)If you’re really backed up, you’re probably only going to be able to take 1/4-1/2 the bag inside you before you’ll feel an overwhelming feeling to go, so don’t be a warrior and just go, ok? No one benefits from you pooping all over the floor.You’re going to want lukewarm water. Trust me when I say this. You do not want warm or hot water entering your colon backwards. While it may sound relaxing in theory, pushing it back out afterwards proves to be much, much different. It’s not fun in any sense. The same goes for even slightly cold water. The key is, you want the water to be body temperature, so aim for that.Most people could probably get away with administering only 1/2 to one full bag’s worth of water (over a few applications), but I prefer to do an extra bag after the first, and only administer an enema once a week.When everything is finally out, it feels like you have a battalion of those little Scrubbing Bubbles guys, sponging away at the innermost crevasses of your colon. You won’t get this until you’ve experienced it, but your insides feel squeaky clean afterwards. Probably akin to those strange people who can poop regularly and never get backed up.This is a fantastic enema kit.  Read Less
