That said though for someone who unlike me hasnt spent the last five years reading every popular neurosciencepsychology book available the case studies and his exploration of vision in general would probably be intriguing and unique

Sacks concentrated on different aspects of visual perception how the processing and visual imagery in the brain are different and separate even from what our eyes really see from the visual input

The other stories are no less surprising like the one about stereo sue about a lady a neurobiology professor herself who because of strabismus corrected relatively late could not see in stereo

Or the stories of vivid visual imagery described by blind people or the alexia sine agraphia when people lose the ability to read but are still perfectly able to write and ironically cannot read what they have just written
