Stewart is the master storyteller! Mary stewart brings this story to life and makes it suitable for any avid reader no matter what their age. Mary stewart's merlin trilogy is truly a wonderful masterpiece.
The crystal cave takes you over the crescendo, almost * you, and then brings you back gently. The hollow hills builds steam very fast and starts your heart boiling. The last enchantment is divided into five sections.
Cons
The book is a physical monster that is too cumbersome to bring anywhere. It is needlessly heavy and hard to read in bed or on a plane. The type is so small that i have to wear my shop magnifiers to read it.

Book pages were thin and almost translucent compared to a copy i had some years ago

I will admit it took up until the first 80 pages or so to really get into this book
