Joel has been correct in his estimation from 610 that the magic formula after the new edition came out would yield lower returns as i mentioned above it was 8

This book is not about efts or index funds but only covers trying to pick stocks that will perform well

However there several catches including this formula doesn’t always work in the shortrun it may sometimes underperform the market you need follow the rules each and every time and one must be patient during the time periods when the formula doesn’t seem to work

I liked the fact that the book gave me something to think about and it is written in layman’s terms except a couple of pages about ebit and ebitenterprise value at the end of the book which the author admits is written for the professionals
