    Joel has been correct (in his estimation from 6-10%) that the magic formula after the new edition came out would yield lower returns (as i mentioned above, it was 8%).

    Then, after reading a couple of hours into it, you find out this iphone is simply a three generation old iphone whose performance is actually mild to mediocre.

    However there several catches including: this formula doesn’t always work in the short-run; it may sometimes underperform the market; you need follow the rules each and every time; and one must be patient during the time periods when the formula doesn’t seem to work.

    I liked the fact that the book gave me something to think about, and it is written in layman’s terms except a couple of pages about ebit and ebit/enterprise value at the end of the book, which the author admits is written for the professionals.
