I own all of the books in the humongous series. Maybe too bulky for some and too tedious for others but just right for me. They are conversational in tone and our 13 yo loves them!
Cons
I know writing a book is a humongous amount of work, but this is a very basic blunder. I fear that the errors would confuse most readers, and give them wrong information.
The problem is that if you wrote a complex trig equation at random, it would almost certainly not be solveable in this way. Just like solving a rubik's cube does not seem (to me) of much use other than the challenge of doing it, so with the contrived ... Read More

This is not your typical math textbook where even after reading through a chapter you might be just as lost as when you started because it assumes too much prior knowledge

It seems to have been well proofread but i have found an error on page 123 in the first line of text which says to calculate sin theta and its reciprocal sec theta
