Pros

Mimi sheraton's german cookbook is one of the best on the market. The author is an expert on german cuisine.

For cooking and baking you won't be disappointed. It is comprehensive and while some of the recipes are a bit complex a skilled cook could adapt and simplify them and still achieve authentic favors.

Good book, good seller. Only had to get a different one for one of my daughter's lol. The only disappointment with this book is that there are no pictures.

Cons

Mimi obviously dislikes sausage and her book is nowhere near a complete guide to mastering authentic german cooking. Boring to read, not substantive, and recipes will not charm modern palates.

The kindle version of this book leaves much to be desired. When it was opened, the pages were folded in the corners and the print was smudged. Without visual illustration, it is hard to follow.
